Hello, my name is Jordan and I’m 9 years old.

It would of been my uncle Reece‘s 30th birthday this year and I wanted to do something special for him. Sadly he’s not here anymore ..he was struggling with his mental health. This made me and my family very sad and I miss him everyday. He was the best! I want to run 30 miles ( a mile for each year) to celebrate his birthday. Im going to do this over 10 days and really hope people can sponsor me. My family are going to help me!)

( This is where you guys come in..with help from my mum who is adding this info!) Where we live lots of people are struggling with their mental health. Unfortunatly lockdown and Covid has added to this. We have a local organsation that we want to help. Councselling in the Community is Blackpool based and has been operating for 3 years. Its aim is to make counselling accessible for all. They rely soley on donations. Blackpool is a highly deprived area and the need for them to keep doing their amazing work is greater than ever. They have 50 volunteers who see 110 clients a week! They are aiming to increase this and open a second hub thereby reaching more people. We would never wish what we went through on another family, Reece is hugely missed. We know he would want us to be doing all we can to help others struggling. There is help out there..thats why its so important to keep these organisations open.
