I've raised £1000 to fundraise for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.

I am going to try run every day in the month of May in Kilometres so 1st of May I will run 1km, 5th of May, I will run 5km and so on. It's ambitious and the odds are stacked against me but I'm going to try see it through to the 31st May which just happens to be my 25th birthday. I will be fundraising for the The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, a charity very close to my heart.
On the 9th December 2018, my best friend Barney tragically passed away whilst making the descent down Mount Chimborazo in Ecuador. On his last day on earth he was as close to the stars as was humanly possible. Barney had a greatly positive influence on my life and many others, he was always very supportive and motivational no matter what circumstances you were in, he was one of a kind guy and I miss him greatly but I want to ensure his legacy is not forgotten! I will be #Running4Barn
The Kevin Bell Trust brought Barney home and were very supportive to the Dobbin family throughout the heartbreaking time. I am forever grateful and want to do what I can to raise money for this amazing cause. The cost of repatriation is a substantial amount and a grieving family shouldn't have the financial burden to bring a loved one home. I personally wouldn't know who to contact or where to turn if a family member passed away travelling or living in another country, the KBRT are that light in the dark.
The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust aims to alleviate the financial hardship of bereaved families repatriating the body (bodies) of loved one(s) who have died abroad in sudden or tragic circumstances back to Ireland.
