Team Pet Brands are fundraising for one of their own!

The Pet Brands team will be taking part in a half marathon on the 17th of April to raise money for our Creative Director, Carl Farraker. The run will start at Pet Brands HQ based in Birstall and will consist of laps to/from Batley Park until the half marathon has been achieved.

The format of the run will allow the whole Team to run/walk as much (or as little) as they can whilst also being able to involve children/family. Seasoned runner Bridgette Sturgeon (Group Head of Key Accounts) will complete the whole half marathon on the day.

All funds raised on the day will be going to Carl, who has opted to split the proceeds with Macmillan Cancer Support.

Carl was diagnosed with Metastatic Bowel Cancer in February 2021 and is receiving palliative Chemotherapy to relieve symptoms, but with a young family of 3 beautiful girls & a wife to support, every second counts. The Pet Brands’ Team are pulling together to support Carl and to give him the freedom to focus purely on making memories with his family.

The last few weeks have been extremely difficult as we have all tried to take in the news – Carl is such a valued member of our Team and has been with the Pet Brands family since the very earliest of days. We want Carl to know that we are all behind him 100% – Team Pet Brands all the way!!

Weather permitting, Carl and his family will be coming along to support us all on the day, and Directors’ Sunny & Ravi Sharma will be running laps in a fancy dress costume chosen specially by Carl’s little girls.
