    Story

Running the length of Thailand: ✅

    Mae Sai to Betong.

    2121km.

    50 Days.

On the 10th of January I set off from Mae Sai, the Northern most point of Thailand, and started running towards the Southern most point in Thailand, in Betong.

2121 km, and 50 days later I arrived in Betong on the 28th Febuary.

I enjoy running, it’s a simple thing to do, but I feel lucky to be able to do it. My Grandad taught me the importance of adventure and being outdoors, and that’s certainly stayed with me. So a running challenge, mixed with a big adventure seemed a cool thing to do. And I know he would have loved hearing about this one.

The other side is to raise as much money as possible that will help support children in Thailand. All money raised will go towards schools and orphanages in Thailand.

I am extremely grateful for the amount of money raised so far (Just over £6600). The charity fund will be kept open for around another ten days.

During that time I will be going back to the visit the schools I visited before starting the run.

    Chris :)

Below is a facebook link to one of the schools I visited before starting the run. Supporting children and young adults with autism and other mental disabilities. The school has been built by focusing on helping children that may struggle to learn/develop in normal school environments, and it also acts as an orphanage. It was set up by a lovely lady, and I am looking forward to going back to visit again next week.
