My name is Marie Dobson, I’m from Newmachar, I love life and I don’t want to die!

I have secondary breast cancer, which sadly has spread to my bones, bone marrow and now into my liver. Whilst there was no further spread in my bones at my last 3 monthly scan, there had been significant spread throughout my liver. My oncologist has advised that although they’re putting me on another chemo drug, at this stage it is likely I won’t make it to my 39th birthday in November.

I am devastated. I love life – I love making a difference in other people’s lives. I love my partner Neil and my pets, I love my family & friends, I love my work motivating people to be their best self with my personal training business, I love running, I love coffee & cake, I love Christmas, I love the watching the waves at the beach and am grateful for every beautiful part of this world. I’m just really not ready to leave it. I know I can make this world a better place, by inspiring people to live their best life and importantly to check their boobs – no matter what their age; through raising awareness of breast & secondary breast cancer.

I have 1 option left which could be viable. It could save me. It could be my miracle – it’s called Dendrix cell treatment. Unfortunately it’s not available on the NHS and costs £35,000. At this stage my family and friends are doing all they can to help me pull together as much money as we possibly can in the hope that I can get this treatment.
