Anyone who knows me will tell you that I have two real passions in life
1. Dogs/Animals
2. RUNNING.

I am a dog owner myself and have 3 beautiful dogs Oscar a fox red Golden Retriever, Beau an elegant Standard Poodle and Louis a sporty, playful Standard Poodle. I always wanted a dog since being a child and when I became an adult for a long time I was unable to as I had a full time, demanding legal career. My first dog came 8 years ago and I have never looked back.

I would love to take more but we do not have the room. It breaks my heart to see poor neglected, abandoned , abused animals. People who take on a pet and then decide it no longer fits their lifestyle after owning it for years. My motto is that an animal is family and is with you for life through thick and thin.

Lizzie's Barn Sanctuary is especially close to my heart as I have seen FIRST HAND the amazing work done by the volunteers there and Fionna Ashman the owner. Forgotten, abused, abandoned dogs are taken into a safe environment, loved, cared for, given medical attention and where possible rehomed. Sadly some of the dogs there are too sick to be rehomed but they are cared for with endless love and given any medical attention required even if it means it comes from the owner's pocket.

This is a family run rescue and all monies raised are either from adoption fees , donations or fundraising.

As a keen runner I have been lucky to get 2 ballot places this year in Great North Run on 9 Sept and Chicago Marathon on 7 Oct.

I thought long and hard about who I wanted to help and this organisation would really benefit any spare funds that people can give. Money raised will cover costs such as vet fees, emergency surgery costs, upkeep of the kennels etc and will really make a difference.
