In the absence of our biggest Christmas fundraiser the Christmas Fayre, we were keen to come up with a new and festive alternative and so came up with Rufford Races to Lapland. This involves the school collectively walking the distance from Rufford Park Primary School to Lapland between 1st - 13th December. The total distance is 5,925,450 steps/4,064 kilometres/2,525 miles, which is a considerable distance.

We hope this will be a fun challenge that will give the school community an incentive to keep active during December, along with raising funds for the school. Following the successful installation of the trim trail and ball shoot in the KS2 playground, we are now looking to start saving for the KS1 playground.
