Story

We are aiming to raise £1000 by completing the Captain Tom Moore 100 challenge.

During the last year it has been difficult for our patients to stay motivated during their rehabilitation without the support of their loved ones. Our aim is to purchase technology to enhance patients wellbeing during their stay.

Clinical Director Indira Natarajan will be completing 100 miles of running in 1 week, Consultant Phil Ferdinand will complete 300 miles cycling in 2 weeks, Senior Nurse Helen Rogers will complete 100 miles through various sports in 4 weeks, Senior Nurse Matt Leeson will complete 100 miles by walking his dog in 4 weeks, Dietician Jo Lancaster will complete 100 miles walking/running in 4 weeks, Speech and Language Therapist Leanna Dean will complete 100 miles running in 4 weeks, Nurse Anu Nobel will complete 100 miles walking/running in 4 weeks, Physician Associate Rachel Gunston will complete 100 miles in 2 weeks by running and Senior Physiotherapist Iulia Calinoiu will complete 100 miles running/walking in 4 weeks with lots of other staff ready to join the challenge!

All money raised will be spent towards the recovery of our patients on the Acute Stroke Unit at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
