We have now purchased The Chequers for the community! Can you help us fund its restoration and ongoing maintenance to ensure this much loved pub thrives into the future?

The Chequers has served generations of our rural community for more than 250 years. Following a massive community effort and a time limited share offer, the Roxwell Chequers Community Benefit Society Ltd bought the pub in April 2024. It is now a community owned pub, a model that has worked successfully for many other pubs around the country.

We are now progressing the final stages of renovation and have various plans to improve the services offered from the pub. Renovating such an old building that has been largely vacant for three years is a huge task, so any help you can offer our crowdfunding campaign to support it would be hugely appreciated.
