Worsley Rotary’s famous Santa Claus float has been touring the local community since 1970's…we’ve not missed a year of spreading joy and Christmas cheer to children and adults alike. Despite the unprecedented challenges of 2020, we don’t intend to stop now…in fact, spreading Christmas smiles this year feels more important than ever.

Whilst we fully intend our Santa Sleigh to tour as usual (at a social distance!) this is the first Christmas in over 40 years that we won’t be able to conduct our door to door collections, collect at Tesco or hold our schools Christmas carol concerts. Last year, with your generosity we collected over £16,000 that was redistributed amongst local charities – causes including foodbanks, domestic violence support groups, and local community projects.

This year, with no collections, there will be no funding for us to help support these worthy causes at a time when they need our help more than ever.
