Story

Fundraising group members are Rossendale Harriers and AC, Rossendale Rays, Rossendale Triathlon Club and the Rossendale Leisure Trust.

The track is an important free to use community asset and is well used by several Sports Clubs in the area, the Rossendale Rays who help children with disabilities to ride specially adapted bikes on the track as well as Rossendale schools and the general public. During the recent Covid lockdowns the track was used by more people than ever before despite the present woeful condition of the track surface.A new sythetic, all weather track would ensure that the track could be used safely and more often and not just dependent on good weather.

Amongst the many donations we have received on our JG page we have also recieved generous ”offline“ donations of £3000 from Limelight Signs and £3000 from Wynsors World of shoes. Whilst these donations will not been seen on this page the donations will be added offline to our total amount raised. A big thank you.
