Story
Players of Roose Pioneers Open Age have set themselves a challenge of running, walking and cycling 2239km in March to raise money for our main shirt sponsor 'FellysFund' and towards new equipment for the Open Age Side.
The challenge has been calculated by using the distance from Redwaters to every UK Super League stadium and finishing with a final trip to Wembley.
With pre-season officially starting on March 31st this will motivate the players to get physically and mentally prepared for the season ahead whilst raising funds for a local charity.
'Fellysfund' is a local charity which was set up to support a well known local man 'Peter Fell', a sports enthusiast who was diagnosed with MND. Since Peter's passing in August 2019 the charity has continued to support local people and families with MND and also offer their support sponsoring local sports teams.
