Story

Many of you will know Ronnie English as a regular face on stage at gay venues across London for a number of years. Aside from the obvious, Ronnie's enthusiastic performances, reliability and strong work ethic have made him popular with both public and promoters.

Some of you will already be aware, others will not, that Ronnie has recently been involved in a horrific accident that has caused life changing injuries. One of these injuries has resulted in the amputation of his left leg.

The COVID pandemic and the resulting restrictions introduced to prevent the spread of the disease have been devastating to venues across the gay scene, and as a result, all those employed in those venues have also been incredibly hard hit, and none more so than performers like Ronnie, who at the best of times have no guarantee of work, and little or no security.

Ronnie's accident could scarcely have come at a worse time, although clearly there is no good time to lose a limb. Ronnie has not been able to do performances for well over a year now, and his options for the future, once he has recovered from the initial trauma of his accident, are not clear.

Ronnie faces many months of recovery and rehabilitation ahead of him. Its not a time to have to worry about how he is going to keep a roof over his head or feed himself. If you are able to donate anything towards providing Ronnie with some financial security while he is recovering, it will help provide a breathing space for him to recover and rebuild his life.
