elysha is an 18 year old disabled young woman, who is in desperate need for a pro pmms 585 bed, she has trunk weakness, meaning she has no muscle tone in her upper body, she has shoulder, arm and hand weakness, she can not do anything for herself. she has curvature of the spine which means she leans over to the side because she is weak and this position can affect her breathing, she is meant to have the proper support to her trunk to prevent this deteriorating further as the condition can become fatal she is also on 24 hour ventilation via a mask.
