I've raised £4500 to help purchase a special wheelchair for Ben Leitch (15 yrs old )who has been selected for the under 23 Scotland team for Wheelchair Basketbal

My Grandson Ben Leitch is an inspiration for all. When he was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer on his leg. The bone had to be removed in order to kill the cancer and then replaced with all sorts of nuts and bolts. Ben's tenacity and stoicism has been remarkable. Throughout all the visits to Yorkhill Hospital Ben remained optimistic and cheerful.
His enthusiasm for sport led him to take up wheelchair basketball ,a sport at which he excelled. So much so that Ben has been chosen to represent Scotland in the National team. Ben also encourages others to follow where he has led and has recently been awarded his coaching badge and teaches both able bodied and disabled at his school and club so there is a legacy for all his hard work.
Ben has done this with the support and encouragement of his parents who take him to venues and sports arenas around the country but now we need your help Ben must have a special wheelchair to continue in his chosen sport. As I am sure you understand special wheelchairs cost a great deal of money and to compete at this level the chair is a necessity . That is where you come in, could you please spare as much as you can to enable Ben to achieve his ambition this crowdfunding page will go towards a new chair and expenses.
