Story

We are holding a Tractor Spectacular event on Sunday 12th September. This will be a convoy of up to 120 vintage and modern tractors starting in Etton and touring local villages as well as the Deepings.

Apart from raising funds for two charities, MIND and RABI, the Robinson Road Run route goes through well populated areas in order to maximise the number of people who can enjoy the Run, especially those who are housebound and/or elderly. There will also be an opportunity for a lucky family to win the experience of riding the entire route in a WW11 DUKW and enjoy a picnic hamper whilst on board.

We see this to be a very much needed community event after the difficulties of the last year or so and hope that everyone will join in as we pass by their homes or on the Market Deeping, John Eve Playing Field to support our Tractor Spectacular

………………………………………

This ‘tractor spectacular’ in being organised in memory of Graham Robinson and Adam Siggee.

Graham, whose family started farming at Howe Farm, Glinton shortly after WW2 until 2019, attended Stamford Boys School before embarking on a career in hospitality. He subsequently moved to Brazil where he died last year.

Adam, also from Glinton, died tragically following a serious motor accident in February 2020 at the age of 29, leaving a young daughter.

The funds raised will represent a tribute to their memory and provide funds for two relevant and deserving charities.

About the charities :

All proceeds from this event will be divided equally between two charities :

The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) Charity No. 208858 and MIND Charity No. 219830

RABI believes that no farmer should ever suffer adversity alone and, in addition to its usual financial and welfare support, has recently launched its mental health support platforms. Specialist support is offered via the helpline on 0808 281 9490. Find out more at https://rabi.org.uk/

MIND also believes that no one should have to face a mental health problem alone. Through listening, giving support and advice, MIND is there to fight your corner. The MIND Helpline is 0300 123 3393. Further information is available online at https://www.mind.org.uk/information-support/

None of us know when we, or those close to us, might need their support – both charities deserve ours
