Story
I'm 34 and the last few months have been a blur and a nightmare wrapped into one. I spent 6 weeks in hospital away from my children which broke me to the point I was referred to the mental health team. I'm currently back home for the time being and still receiving chemotherapy treatment Daily for T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma, In short this is an aggressive fast growing cancer of the Lymphnodes. I was taken to hospital with a pain in my shoulder and after 11 hours of xrays, scans and tests a mass was found in my chest, i was given the devastating news that the tumour in my lymphnode filled my chest cavity, putting pressure on my heart and lungs, within 2 weeks I was admitted into hospital to start steroids and chemotherapy, My treatment is a trial treatment as its based on a leukemia treatment called UkAll Trial. So far I'm pleased to say it seems to be working. I'm hoping for a break in treatment next year so would love to treat my family to a holiday and make some well deserved memories and smiles, because as you may have guessed it has been rather tough on not just me but my family too, most of all my 11year old daughter and 4 year old son. If there is anything left after paying for the holiday I would like to make a donation to The Garden Suite Cancer treatment ward at my local hospital where I am receiving my treatment.
