Story
Thank you to everyone who donated on our previous page(s)!! This poor challenge has been postponed twice due to COVID!!! And then due to my technical error the last page was canned!!
James (my brother) and I will be cycling 164 miles from Milngavie near Glasgow to Inverness, off road via the West Highland Way and the Great Glen way....in 24 hours (or less preferably)
WHY.......?
To raise money for two amazing centres of care in Raigmore, that desperately need extra funding!
The Highland Heartbeat Centre in Inverness where I am the Lead Cardiac Physio is the epicentre of care for patients across the Highlands who have suffered a heart attack or are recoverring from heart surgery. The NHS funds the staff and basic equipment; however we would love to provide a drop in centre where patients can come for peer support and education. We would also like to upgrade our gym equipment to allow us to provide the highest possible care for our patients.
My son and James' two sons have all needed the expertise of the SCBU, this is a vital centre which again supports children and families across the Highlands. NHS funds the staff and essential equipment; however we would like to give them the extra financial support to purchase extra incubators and essentials for parents who are residing in Raigmore with their babies.
Please think about donating, we appreciate that times are especially tough at the minute, but every penny is appreciated!
If you don't feel you are able to donate, thats absolutely grand... but please consider sharing our story! :D
Thank you
LA & James
