I've raised £3500 to fund the purchase of The Neurodiversity Umbrella Project (a Neurodiversity installation) for 10 local Schools in Coventry

Hi, I am George.
I am 10 years old & currently on a 2/3 year waiting list for a Neurodevelopmental Assessment. I want to raise awareness and understanding for Neurodiversity. I decided to challenge myself to run 26 miles in the month of May - you can follow my journey with the hashtag #roarsomerunnergeorge
My initial goal was to raise a total of £350 to purchase The Neurodiversity Umbrella Project for my School, Earlsdon Primary. You can find out more about the Umbrella project here…

Because of the immense support and kindness I have decided to extend my fundraising for the rest of 2022! I am going to continue to challenge myself with running, raise awareness & share my journey! Thanks to your help I can currently fund 4 local Schools (Earlsdon Primary, Templars Primary, Stivichall Primary & John Gulson Primary) this amazing project for 2023, that raises awareness for Neurodiversity in education & will keep going in the hope that I can provide it for many more…. 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈
We are thrilled to have installed George's umbrellas in our sensory garden, they look amazing and bring colour and happiness to our school playground. The children loved seeing them up and sitting underneath them when the sun is shining! We are very proud and very lucky to have such an uplifting installation to raise awareness and understanding of neurodiversity. - Mrs Andrews, Earlsdon Primary School.
The Neurodiversity Umbrella Project is created by The ADHD Foundation & is an uplifting visual representation of all the different minds we have here in the UK.
Every Umbrella Project installation helps to raise awareness and understanding of neurodiversity. Thousands of colourful umbrellas are strung together over public spaces, in schools, and in company buildings around the nation. Each display is designed to represent the one in five of us who have a neurodevelopmental condition, such as ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia or Tourette’s syndrome. These conditions fall under the umbrella term of neurodiversity.
We are changing the perception of neurodiverse/neurodivergent people and celebrating all the many strengths that come from thinking differently.
