*I attempted to cycle 1,000 miles to raise money for stans life saving treatment, but I managed to do 440 miles in 4 days & then I tried to rest up for a few days but I've injured my achilles & my knee and it is only getting worse so I've had to pull out*

So as a Forfeit.. If we can get this to 100% - I will Bic razer my head & beard completely Bald.. Let's do it!! I'm a ginger bloke.. I thought my tan lines on my arms were bad enough haha, ain't looking forward to the tan line on my face

    SEND IT FOR STAN!!

I got sent a link to a story by somebody on Twitter urging me to Retweet to help out, I checked out the page to 'SAVE OUR STAN' & after reading Stan's story, It absolutely broke my heart & I felt like I could, should & would do more than just a simple retweet.

Stan is just 2 years old & has had Leukaemia since he was just 16 months old, after treatment in the UK, Stan was back at home with his family & everything was going good until the Leukaemia sadly returned on the 8th June 2020 & the NHS & doctors have said there is no other treatment for him in the UK & their only hope is getting Stan to Singapore for treatment but the minimum needed for the treatment is £500,000 & the whole family will have to move to the other side of the world for one year, but no mother or father should EVER have to worry that their child won't be given Life saving treatment because of any amount of money in the world.

I am going to Ride from Lands end to John o'groats (total 1,010 miles) by bicycle, Tomorrow morning (29th june) I have absolutely no training, I'm going to be sleeping with a £9.99 hammock in bushes on the roadside along the way & just absolutely pushing through everyday for Stan, I posted online about doing this route & I got so many messages that It wasn't possible without 6+ months of training but I'm going to aim to cover 100 miles per day & Complete it in 10 days, I want to do this to raise as much money to contribute to the £500,000 for stan. At the time of writing this, Their fundraiser is currently on £202,400 which is absolutely incredible. Let's use the power of social media & get Stan out to Singapore.

100% of the donations from this page will be sent to Stan's parents.

Full story written by Stan's Parents:

On 7th March 2019 we were given the devastating news that our beautiful son, Stanley, had leukaemia, he was just 16 months old. We were taken by emergency ambulance to Newcastle RVI. After further tests we were told he had T-CELL Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. We were told he was so poorly they didn't know if he would survive the weekend. He had a chest tumour also and couldn’t be put to sleep to have a central line inserted so they had to insert a triple groin line while he was awake as he urgently needed to start his chemotherapy. He was in intensive care for a couple of days and then transferred back to the ward.

He seemed to be doing well but every time we had a bone marrow aspirate the results weren’t what we wanted to hear; his leukaemia was proving hard to get control of; no signs of remission. After lots of different chemo therapies we got to where we wanted to be and on the 9th August 2019 we had our first transplant.

On 2nd October, while we were still on the bubble unit, we were given the heartbreaking news that Stan had relapsed. The palliative care team were brought to meet us and we were told to take him home and make memories. The worst news any parent could ever hear. This was the worst weekend of our lives , desperate in our situation to find some hope for our son, and our 3 year old daughter, Delilah's, little brother.

Thankfully, our wonderful consultant, contacted us to say a company had agreed to give Stan a trial drug, a glimmer of hope in the darkest of days. Amazingly, this drug appeared to get his leukaemia under control which made him eligible for a second transplant. This went ahead on 20th December 2019. Following the transplant he had a really bad reaction (GVHD), other than this, things were looking good, and, our prayers were answered, we got to go home on 7th February to be a family of four again.

Everything seemed to be going great, but on 8th of June 2020 we were given the devastating news the leukaemia had returned. We'd always worried about relapse but this still came as a massive blow as Stanley had been so well, enjoying being home and playing with his big sister Delilah. We have been told there is no other treatment here in the UK and our only hope is getting Stan to Singapore for treatment. However, the cost of this is way way beyond our limits, a minimum of £500,000.00 is needed up front before they will accept Stan for the life saving treatment he needs. This is why we need your help as we are desperate to save our little boy.

Stanley has been so strong throughout everything, this is his only chance and we have to try to SAVE OUR SON. Please support us in trying to raise these funds as quickly as possible. If we managed to raise more than we need any other monies would go to fund research or to help other families that need to explore other treatment options for their poorly children. SOS - Save Our Stan!
