I've raised £10000 to Help with Funeral and other living costs

Tragedy strikes when you least expect it and that is what has happened to our daughters sweet boyfriend and his family,.
Just 2 days ago (Sunday 24th September), Rich (56), partner to Sara of 20 years and father of Joe (24) and Ed (18) died suddenly of unknown causes. He was found by Ed, collapsed on the living room floor of the family home. Despite an ambulance being called and Sara performing CPR, nothing could be done to save him.
With Ed due at his first university lecture the very next morning, as well his university ice hockey trials the following night, losing his dad, and best friend, was the furthest thing from his mind.
Sara, Joe and Ed now have to navigate their lives without the man that held them together and provided so much for them emotionally, physically and financially.
We know the difference a great dad and partner can make in life, and Rich certainly made a difference. Those of us in the ice hockey community will also know what a commitment it is to be a hockey parent and Rich was that! He was at every game and practice, travelling to wherever it was needed, and even attending those late night practices that get you home long after midnight.
Anyone who was privileged enough to meet Rich, especially at the side of a rink, instantly warmed to him as he shared his love of his family, stories from his life and how proud he was of Ed’s Hockey talent (even if hockey isn’t quite running). He will be missed by everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him, he truly made everyone feel special.
If there is anything you can give to help our wonderful friends cover the expenses of Rich’s funeral, and the ongoing cost of living with Rich now gone, it would be greatly appreciated.
We are desperate to help these amazing people have the time they need to focus on healing from the trauma and loss they are feeling and not get lost on the financial burden that comes with this kind of tragedy.
Love to all x
