Story

Rich Garrett died after a brave 9 year battle with cancer on the 22nd of December 2018. He was a kind, courageous and hilarious man who touched the lives of many all over the world. Before his death he requested that money be raised in his name for St John's Hospice, Moggerhanger (Charity No. 1052076 Ref. No.05494), where he was brilliantly looked after in his final weeks, and The Bedford Hospital Primrose Unit (Primrose Unit Fund 013096, Charity Number 1061003), where he had been cared for as a patient throughout his illness.

Richard asked that when remembering him, we think of the laughter over any sadness.

Over the coming months we will be launching a number of fundraising activities and events, please keep your eye on this page for the latest updates and let us know if you want to be involved. After all our original targets were surpassed, we’ve set the goal to £51,000 as Rich was 51 when he died. We’re also going to attempt 51 challenges in his name.

We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support you have given us - we cannot thank you enough.
