Story
My stepdaughter Megan Baillie has been in hospital for a year now Since the 19th of May 2020. I can’t thank the NHS enough from the first responders to the amazing staff who work in the ICU at Crosshouse to then being admitted to the Astley Ainslie Hospital in Edinburgh where she spent 10 months before being discharged to the Douglas Grant Hospital in Irvine where she is now. All of the NHS staff that have cared for and continue caring for Megan do a fantastic job. They have gone above and beyond the call of duty at times to help make Megan’s stay in hospital as best as it could be given the restrictions during this time due to covid. However there is one Department within Aslie Ainslie i particularly want to thank for Megan’s progress in her mobility and that’s the Phyisiotherapy Department. Caroline, May and the rest of the team were highly skilled, motovated and determined which rubbed of on Megan which in turn has got her this far in her recovery. That is why i’m cycling the North Coast 500 starting Monday the 24th of May to raise money towards any equipment or apperatus that might help them continue to do the wonderful work they do and to help peolpe like Megan get back or as near to the Physical fitness they once had.
