On the 23rd December our beautiful Arabella was admitted to Ipswich Hospital after a normal cold left her struggling to breathe. Her condition deteriorated so quickly that she ended up being ventilated and was transfered to Addenbrooke’s PICU.

The next 3 weeks were hell, with Arabella spending 9 days in PICU on a ventilator and in total 3 weeks between Great Ormond Street, Ipswich and Adenbrooke’s Hospital.

During this time we met the most amazing NHS staff, who will stay in our hearts forever. They truly went above and beyond with their care, despite the staffing pressures placed on them due to the Covid pandemic. Thanks to them Arabella is now home with us and is doing well.

To try and thank the staff and give just a little something back, we want to raise £400 for each hospital, CATS (Children’s Acute Ambulance Service) and The Sick Children’s Trust.

We will be doing a 75,000 step walk (roughly 41 miles)! Lockdown dependent, Richard, his Dad and family friends, Debs and Ivan will complete the walk on 2nd April 2021. Blake and Benjamin will complete a 7,500 step challenge on the same day.
