Story
Ovarian Cancer is the most common cancer in people over the age of 55, with 60 women a day diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer.
The Northern Gynaecological Oncology Centre (NGOC) at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead was the first Gynaecological Cancer Centre to be established in the UK. It continues to provide specialist cancer care for women across the North East and Cumbria.
The vision of NGOC is “Taking care, transforming lives, driving advances and delivering excellence for every woman with gynaecological cancer”
