    Story

Following her brave and hard fought battle, Rhianna recently passed away peacefully with her family by her side.

Rhianna had overcome a turbulent birth and the resulting hearing difficulties to lead a full and happy life for 8 fantastic years. She loved to sing and dance, to play games and to go to the park as she loved the outdoors. She took part in local competitions and shows and was dedicated to learning and to being the best that she could be. She was clever and kind and an inspiration to us all in the way she got on and made the most of everything. Often mischievous, she was also loving and caring and simply enjoyed life.

Unfortunately, in April 2015 Rhianna was diagnosed with a brain tumour and despite a courageous battle, in which she fought and succeeded, with the help of revolutionary clinical trials in Bristol, to reduce the tumour, it split into an inaccessible area.

During her period of illness, Rhianna was able to enjoy many parties and days out and was able to get around with the aid of a wheelchair. Unfortunately however, she was not able to enjoy the local parks as much as she had once done because of the lack of wheelchair-friendly playground equipment.

Family member Kobi (8) decided that he would like to raise money to help children like Rhianna enjoy their parks so we started the fund to raise money to provide playground equipment for disabled children. Kobi has been helping by competing in the local Park Runs to help raise funds.

The first piece of equipment we thought of was the special swing, which allows wheelchair access, and this led to the name of the fund-Rhianna's Swing. Rhianna was able to visit a park and try the swing which she thoroughly enjoyed. We hope to raise enough money for the swing, roundabout, trampoline and a slide unit, plus some pieces of sensory equipment and we hope that the memory of such a beautiful, kind and fun-loving little princess will help provide hours of fun and laughter to many other children

Hi my name is Kobi Barrow and I am 8 years old. I started running with my daddy so I could do Parkrun with him. People said they'd give me money so I want to give it to charity and help other kiddies who are just like Rhianna.
