Please don’t scroll past this one minute read. As 2022 draws to a close, I humbly ask if you’re able to support ReRead, the not-for-profit I founded ten years ago with the charitable aim of giving away quality free books to kids in Doncaster

We do this from our base in the city and employ 9 people to collect, pick and list books on online platforms. In the process we harvest thousands of Children’s books and host free book giveaways throughout the year.

We’re looking for £10,000 to help us to continue our work into 2023. The cost-of-living crisis has hit us very hard, on top of which our sales to the EU have dwindled to next to nothing. Reaching the target would give us a much-needed boost going into the new year and will help pay our wages, rent and insurance, which has rocketed since we were flooded in 2021.

ReRead is very close to my heart and to see kids at our giveaways picking quality books to take away and read for free is an incredible feeling. We do what we do to help communities in Doncaster for whom books are a luxury. We are driving up literacy and engagement with education as well as the enjoyment that can only be gained by spending time with quality books.
