Nancy Muthoni Kamanja known in the UK as Zahara Juma grew up in East Africa but made Liverpool her home. Zahara brought great joy and touched many lives in her local community as a Care and Support Worker with an amazing personality and a great conscience, giving the people she cared for her very best by improving the quality of their their lives. True to her profession, she was a caring, gentle person, a true confidant one could rely upon, a mother to all who needed one.

Zaraha spent the last 5 months in hospital, part of which was in a medically induced coma. Sadly she passed away in hospital on the 21/02/2019.

Zahara was the sole provider for her immediate and extended family in Kenya. She is survived by her elderly mother, her only child (a son) and his young family. The most fitting tribute to this great woman of valour is to honour her wish and repatriate her body to her homeland, Kenya and give her the best send off she so rightly deserves. This requires funds we are looking to raise £9.900 to make this a reality.
