One of our club members, Tom Howat, recently received a life changing kidney transplant. Previous to this Tom was receiving dialysis which was carried out at the John Lynch Renal Unit at Crosshouse Hospital. Tom has went through a very difficult couple of years and he is extremely thankful to the staff at the renal unit for all they done for him and any money raised would make a huge difference to allow them to invest in new equipment and resources for the future of dialysis treatment. As a club, we have chosen to raise funds for the Unit by taking part in a club step challenge which will last for 4 weeks. 32 club members have been split into 8 teams with the challenge of achieving the most steps as a team! We thought this was a great way to get members active and moving in lockdown while raising money for a very worth cause which is close to the clubs heart. Any donations would be very welcome to help us achieve our target.
