I've raised £3000 to help pay for the funeral of Dave Evans, and to help his family give him the send off he deserves.

Unbeknown to his family and friends Dave Evans was battling with his mental health and he sadly lost that battle on 5th May. He left behind his wife Julie who is like a sister to me, and his three children Danni, Thomas and Izzy.
His devotion and love for his family shone as bright as the sun. His infectious laugh, humour, warmth, generosity, loyalty, and his willingness to always put the needs of others before his own touched the lives and hearts of all that knew this gentle man.
Dave left behind many friends and colleagues within the NHS and he dedicated his whole career to the service of others.
He had a deep love and involvement in the British small press world, being the editor of the FutureQuake Press alongside Richmond Clements. Known as Bolt 01, he was a talented artist, and his dedication and encouragement to budding creators has been talked about by many of his friends.
Dave was an amazing guy, intelligent, sharp-witted and wise. Both he and his family had the rare ability to turn any misfortune thrown at them into something positive, usually with a funny story thrown in for good measure. We have precious memories of the times we spent in their company, laughing and basking in the positive vibrations that beamed from them all. The innate positivity and 'can do' attitude to life that Julie and the children possess will get them through this and they will once again turn their misfortune into something positive though it will be tough.
This page is for us all to give something back to a man who gave to everyone. At their greatest time of need we would love to help give our friend the send off he truly deserves. If you feel you're able to support his family, any donations would be gratefully received.
Dave suffered with mental illness but he bottled it up and suffered alone. His family urge anyone who is in need of help to reach out to others.
With this page the family also would love you to share your thoughts and memories about our dear friend.
Thank you.
