TBBC: Breaking Mental Barriers Through Sport

We are a future charity. We are a movement.

My name is Reiss Bliss, and I am the CEO and founder of TBBC – Sporting Through Mental Health.

Every year, 1 in 4 people struggle with mental health challenges.

Every year, 1 in 5 young people battle addiction.

Additionally, 6% of the UK armed forces suffer with PTSD.

Too many suffer in silence—but it doesn’t have to be that way.

At TBBC, we believe in using sport as a tool for resilience, recovery, and transformation. Our mission is to help people push their mental and physical limits while building a strong, supportive community.

Why Extreme Sports?

Because when you’re running that last kilometre, when your body is screaming to stop, when the waves are pushing you back—you don’t give up.

That’s mental resilience. That’s the fight against depression, anxiety, and addiction.

At TBBC, we believe:

✔ Sport builds mental strength – It teaches discipline, endurance, and the ability to keep moving forward.

✔ Community is everything – No one should feel like they’re fighting alone.

Everyone deserves a chance – We’re making extreme sports accessible to all, regardless of background or experience.

My Challenge: 6 Races for Mental Resilience

I’ve never won a medal in my life. But this year, I’m pushing myself to complete six endurance events—not for me, but for those who need it most.

🏃‍♂️ 4th May – Frimley Run (10K)

💪 10th May – Tough Mudder (5K)

🏊‍♂️ 13th July – Henley Swim (2.1Km)

🚴‍♂️ 20th July – Guildford Triathlon

🚴‍♂️ 14th September – London to Brighton Ride (55mile)

Each event represents a bigger fight—the fight for mental resilience, recovery, and support for those who struggle daily.

I’m doing this to prove that anything is possible. To show that mental strength is just as powerful as physical strength. And to inspire others to push beyond their limits, just as I am doing in these races.
