I am a girl who has been trapped in an unhappy marriage for 12 years. I could write down all the reasons why I despise the man I have lived with and all the ways I have suffered- but I would rather make this page a positive one. This is a message for all women out there who want a change but are too afraid to take the first step. This is a message for all the women who have felt culturally or socially bound to make an abusive or unhappy marriage work. I have been trying to get out of it for many years but my financial dependence on him blocked me at every stage. I have finally built up my courage to be able to start the fight for my independence- but I need your help.
