I've raised £1000 to buy school shoes for 50 newly arrived refugee children in North Yorkshire

North Yorkshire County Council has asked us for support in getting newly arrived asylum-seeker children into school. These are children within the county, but not within Ripon. We have agreed to support, along with other refugee charities in the county.
We are also collecting second-hand school uniform - see our social media about that - because the schools have run out of their own second-hand stocks. But school shoes are always a special case; it's difficult to get decent ones second-hand, so we thought we'd try to fundraise enough for 50 children (at £20 per pair, supermarket prices).
