I didn't think I'd ever do this, but when it comes to your kids, you'd do anything! Recently we found out that Elsie has ruptured her ACL and need reconstructive surgery to return to sport. After the surgery the recovery time is anticipated to be 9-12 months.

The timing of this injury is cruel. She's about to enter her final year in the Basketball England Talent pathway programme. She's just signed to her first JPL football team, Chatham Town and been accepted onto the Medway district Team and she's devastated. It's soo hard seeing her world fall apart like this.

Elsie is also Autistic, she really struggles socially, sport is her therapy, it provides her social circle, her confidence boost and her support network, sport is essential to her well being.

And now we wait. 13 weeks to see a surgeon and then who knows how long before the operation.

Obviously I would love to speed this whole process up and give her the best chance of getting back to it ASAP.
