Story
A Sidmouth school, founded in 1914, that has survived two world wars and celebrated a centenary, could be closed forever unless its teachers accept a plea from its president to take a huge cut in wages.
St John’s International School is a private school for day students and boarders, and has a long and proud history – but it has been brought to its knees by Covid-19 and its management says the only way it can survive is if teachers agree to cut their salaries by a quarter.
Even then, the school faces making a loss in the next academic year of a quarter of a million pounds. The school, overlooking the sea on the picturesque hills above Sidmouth, is described as 'a small English school with a big international heart' - combining traditional, English independent school values with an international approach to learning. But that learning could soon come to an abrupt halt.
Please support this amazing School and to try and secure its future for Sidmouth and International Students.

This was the school who has been a beginning to many an old pupil, I for one being the mother of two who went to StJohns feel this is a small and wonderful start to a life of learning in its best way.

I'm hoping to send my boys to this school so if its not open then I'll have to send him further afield.
