These facilities will support older people through activities- developing skills and keeping good company within the community whilst tackling social isolation and loneliness, in the west of the Isle of Man.

We are looking to operate warm spaces as part of the wider community initiative.

After some time we finally have a location to move ahead and make this a reality.

In the last few weeks, we have the opportunity to use the garages by Peel Town Hall by the commissioners who have recently purchased them and who are willing to lease them to Western Men in Sheds

We need funding to get the project off the ground for the facilities, tools and machinery to make this happen.

£2000 has been raised previously but we need a further £1500 for levelling the floor, so we can start operating from January.

As part of this I am running the New York marathon to raise funds. I am also raising money for the foodbank - please put foodbank in the donation comments if you would like the money targeted there.
