Marple Trails invited six local schools - Rose Hill Primary School, Ludworth Primary School, All Saints C of E Primary School, St Mary's Catholic Voluntary Academy, Mellor Primary School and Brabyns preparatory School to be part of The Marple Scarecrow Trail. We asked the school children to draw scarecrows based on the theme 'Heroes and Villains' then the winnings designs will be created by the school children and displayed within the Marple area. The Marple Scarecrow Trail will be spooky Halloween fun for the children whilst offering an alternative to trick or treat.

We wanted to say thank you to the local children for their amazing resilience during these exceptional times. To give a little joy and routine back to the children when everything else has been restricted or taken away. Coronavirus has affected children in various ways and we might not know the true impact for many years to come. Instead of buying trick or treat sweets this year, maybe consider donating to this cause, where your money will be split equally between the six schools or their PTA's to directly benefit the children .
