I've raised £5000 to Help the Afghan Sikh community and those families affected by the atrocious attacks that occurred in the gurdwara on 25 March 2020

I am using this platform to try and raise funds for the Afghan Sikh community based out in Afghanistan who suffered the atrocity that occurred on 25 March 2020.
As a first generation Afghan Sikh myself, I wanted to do something that would hopefully help families directly, even if this was a small amount. I hope you can help with this.
The specifics are not clear as to how the attack took place, but a gunman or gunmen, as it is not yet clear how many were behind the attack, entered the Gurdwara (Sikh place of worship) during the morning prayers. In the attack that ensued, approx 25 lives and counting lives have been lost, with many injured.
Those that were made shaheed (martyred) were of all ages and some were even young kids, and some were parents whose kids will now grow up without them and some were vital community members.
The Afghan Sikh community has suffered enormously throughout the decades and has been forced to flee the persecution caused by them - however in these past few years the attacks on the community in Afghanistan has increased and they have been victim to this brutality.
Hopefully these funds can help these families somewhat in their time of need. Whatever you give will be much appreciated and it will go directly to the community. Although times are dire for everyone, even if we help with a small amount, we can make a massive difference.
As well as raising funds - I urge you to write to your MPs and to speak to influential people and put pressure on governments to try to provide aid to the community and help them flee from this persecution.
Thanks - Tamana Kaur Gulati
