Sandy Bird also known as Granger was a dear friend to me over the last 15 years, she worked at HMP Durham during this time in admin before I met her and then as a officer for the last 15years with me

Sandy was sadly taken from loved ones unexpectidly only a couple of weeks after her daughter Gracies 9th birthday. Her fiance Jamie and daughter Gracie now have the hard task of getting on in life wothout this kind soul by there side. Sandy was a wonderful Mother, Daughter, Sister, partner friend and colleague who would always put other peoples needs first.

She had the bigest heart I had ever known for such a little lady and the most beautiful caring soul. Her memory will live on forever along with her big kind heart which has already been given to someone who needed it. With her heart still beating may it give comfort to loved ones left behind knowing her legacy will live on.

We would like to thank the Nightingale ward at Basingstoke hospotal who looked after Sandy for the week whilst she was sleeping. Please could people donate on behalf of the wonderful work the hospital did my you RIP little Bird love you always your Rachie xxxxx
