    Story

Brighton and Hove Council have agreed to install a commemorative blue plaque at the historic Quadrophenia Alley, Brighton. Quadrophenia Alley is a Mecca for the Mods and is a must-see destination for any fan of the iconic British film and album of the same name.

Quadrophenia Alley is located between number 10 and 11 East Street Brighton and was the location for a scene in the 1979 film Quadrophenia. The Alley has become a shrine to the Mod movement, and people come from all over the world to find this alleyway. The cult film was set in Brighton in 1964, the period of the Mods and Rockers.

This Plaque is be erected in recognition of the sites cultural importance. The unveiling is scheduled to be on Bank Holiday Monday, 10th April 2023.

The cost of the plaque, instalation and alterations to the site is approx. £2500. Any surplus funds raised will be donated to Sussex Homeless Support.

Was Quadrophenia part of your youth? Can you help?
