The Croydon Local Plan has serious implications for the residents and business owners of Purley Oaks, Riddlesdown and Sanderstead.

Plans have been pushed through to change the use of Purley Oaks Depot without the possibility of objection at an earlier stage, so now there is no alternative but to be represented by a QC at the consultation.

This QC has already assisted in writing a template objection letter which was widely circulated and sent to the consultation, which was paid for by generous donations.

We are now approaching the critical final stage of consultation, where a final decision will be made.

This will affect everyone in Purley Oaks, Sanderstead and Riddlesdown, with local estate agents suggesting a fall in property values of around 10% if it goes ahead.

As a QC with great experience in these matters, we are confident that we have found the right person to represent us, however this comes at a cost of £8000 for this hearing, plus the fees for JustGiving (5%), totalling £8425

If 200 people could contribute just £42.25 then we would be able to engage his services and strongly improve our chances of success against this rushed through last minute change to the Local Plan.

If everyone who donated gave just £20 then we would need 422 donations to reach our target.
