Story
Three times a year, we run PJ Weeks within our Puddle Ducks and Swim Academy swimming lessons; and once a year, in Autumn, we combine PJ Week with raising money for a charity. This year, our lovely swimmers voted to raise money for Kent Search and Rescue.
Kent Search and Rescue are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks of the year. They have established great links with the Kent Police Authority, Kent Ambulance Service, Kent Fire Service and HM Coastguard.
Why is PJ Week so important? Every week, personal survival skills are included in each swimming lesson. During PJ Week, we wear our pyjamas in the water to give our children a chance to practice how it feels to be in the water with clothes on - after all, if we were to fall in by accident, we would very likely be fully-clothed.

About CrowdfundingAbout the fundraiser
Puddle Ducks East Kent
Our swimming lessons are suitable from birth to 10 years of age. Each week, we practice personal survival skills as part of our swimming lessons. In PJ Week, we come to our swimming lessons with our pyjamas on too, to practice how it feels to be fully-clothed in water.
