Story
We are Public Play Service and we’re taking theatre to the streets, or more specifically a site where cultural engagement is low, but multicultural community spirit is high: Kilburn Market. We want to disrupt the mundanity of the everyday and inject it with play and we are interested in exploring themes of difference, migration, immigration and oscillation BUT we need your help to get this show (quite literally) on the road!
We need help with funds for licensing, costume and props. A theatre ticket can cost anything from £5 to £70 and we're doing this for free in an area where there is currently no working theatre. So why not donate the price of a theatre ticket you'd pay for for the chance of someone else seeing theatre?
We're truly excited about this project and this once in a life time opportunity to create a piece of theatre which is asking for no ticket price and which is fueled purely by the joy that theatre brings to people!
