    Story

Prime Acrobatics offers a high standard of coaching in gymnastics, acrobatics and circus skills. We cater for babies from 4 months through to adults, and a number of classes for those with additional needs. We pride ourselves on being all-inclusive and believe everyone can take part and benefit from our activities. We are now looking forward to bringing our classes to Camberley with a second facility.

We have been lucky enough to find a suitable building and a landlord that believes in our mission. We have spent many months and most of our resources completing the construction work. We are now facing the final hurdle of affording and fitting the equipment. Costs that we are facing include:

    - Rigging for aerial equipment (swinging trapeze, silks, hoop, straps) £10,000

    - Circus specific equipment (teeterboard, Chinese poles, trampoline wall) £10,000

    - Foam for landing pits £5,000

Once these costs are met, we are able to complete the facility and start running classes. We cannot wait to start offering exciting opportunities for the Camberley community and the surrounding area. Any support that you are able to offer is greatly appreciated and will go directly towards our equipment costs!

To inspire some kind donations, some of the Prime Acrobatics team are taking the plunge...out of a plane! The brave jumpers are Director Chris, senior coach Fran, health & safety manager Carina and our Additional Needs Coordinator Josie, who is bringing along one of her superstar gymnasts; Guinness World Record Holder Lloyd Martin!

As a child, Lloyd Martin was told that he would struggle to walk, let alone participate in any sports. Lloyd has been a member of Prime Acrobatics since 2021 and in 2023, became British Disability Gymnastics champion on the vault. In April 2024, Lloyd made history by becoming the youngest known person with Down Syndrome to complete the London Marathon.

Lloyd is challenging himself further by completing the sponsored skydive to support Prime Acrobatics. The whole gang is jumping together, for a great cause on Thursday 6th June 2024 (weather permitting).

Please sponsor our skydivers and helps us raise much-needed funds to complete our Camberley gym!

We are delighted to report that our sponsored skydive, despite being delayed, is going ahead and has been rescheduled for 7th August! We are excited to say that Skydive Hinton will be providing the Prime fundraising team with our long awaited opportunity to complete our skydive. They have been incredibly supportive and accommodating and welcomed a chance to meet with Lloyd and his mother Ceri.

What you are doing is a wonderful thing. There's nothing more important in a country than physical health, mental health, and education. Your project provides both for our children. Thank you ❤️
