Akoma is a registered charity in the UK. Our charity registration number is 1206521
We are an international education justice organisation with programs operating in São Paulo, Brazil-Accra, Ghana and London, England!
This year, we're raising money to commission specialists from a range of
industries: art and design, STEM and the cultural sector to teach project-based learning programs to our community of Black girls aged 8-14.

2 months agoCamping became a sensational part of our junior pop-up school program. What better way to understand climate justice education but immersing our learners in the great outdoors? South London is our classroom, so a camping session was needed! Friendships were made and fun was had!

2 months agoWe've had such an incredible summer taking our community of 100 Black girls in Lewisham to various sites around South London. Here are they are getting inspired by muralist work at the South London Gallery. They used sessions with our environmentalist Ade to pick up on climate justice cues left by the artist!
