Story

Attempting to homestead in London is a bit of a challenge, especially with a garden the size of a postage stamp. My mum and I have an allotment instead and chickens. In March 2020 my job evaporated, as did so many other peoples and i began vlogging on YouTube about growing vegetables.

In September i was re-employed! Yay! But i carried on with the vlogging because i absolutely love it. Now i'm coming up on a year of weekly vlogs every Tuesday afternoon and more recently a Saturday video too and i'm thinking about trying again to make a living from encouraging people to get growing food.

I between degrees studied Horticulture with the RHS and have been a working gardener and garden designer for 15 years along side teaching sculpture but i found i was trying to shoehorn edibles into peoples ornamental gardens that weren't really all that interested. Suddenly, completely out of the blue and largely thanks to the chaos wrought by the Covid crisis, i have found a way to do that digitally. And i want to continue.

Any incredibly kind donations made through here, however large or small, will go directly to support what we are doing in the garden and help me keep up with making two videos a week for youtube.

Many many thanks,

Jessie and Mum (Kathy)
