I've raised £10000 to build a new art studio at PKAVS Walled Garden

Our current art studio is a portable structure that is no longer fit for purpose but is an essential part of our creative department for clients. This will allow us to continue supporting our clients in a more substantial structure.
I like the studio, but it can be very cold during the winter months and when it’s cold it makes me struggle to concentrate. I can imagine others feel the same - Youth Client
As you can see in the above pictures, our art studio is due a revamp. We are keen to make this space as inviting as possible for our clients to continue their creative workshops.
Our studio should be engaging, motivating and inclusive for our client group, at this current moment it’s struggling to do this down to the dated structure and restrictive space/ layout. It has many hazards at current and currently no access to internet limiting the work available in space and limiting again the accessibility of our service. - Volunteer Quote
For our new studio, building and work will be sourced from a local supplier, ensuring as little environmental impact as possible. The external walls will be eco-friendly composite wood made from wood chippings and recycled plastic. These will require little yearly maintenance and have high-performance insulation, ensuring energy efficiency. The windows and doors will be ‘A’ energy rated with double glazing, and underfloor heating will dramatically reduce our heating costs, providing greater long term financial sustainability. An existing access ramp will be utilised for this building.
My time spent in the studio was amazing and I loved the peaceful, inspiring and beautiful situation which was so conducive to positive mental wellbeing. However, it was so awfully cold in the winter. So cold the group members brought blankets! It is an amazing venue but does require updating and repair.
With the essential revamp of our art studio, we will be able to improve conditions for clients, ensuring they are warm AND inspired when they come in for workshops. We can't wait to update the facilities and welcome you all in for a cosy visit!
