I've raised £2500 to Help Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery Keep Julian Opie's Curly Hair in Ealing!

Curly Hair has been on long loan since Opie’s exhibition at the gallery in 2021 striding purposefully towards Soane’s Manor. Since its installation, it has become a recognisable icon of the community in Ealing, encouraging inquisitive passers-by to visit the Manor and Gallery.
Opie has generously offered to allow Pitzhanger to acquire the work at its fabrication costs – this is a much smaller cost than its considerable market value for which we are enormously grateful. So, we are now fundraising for the monies required to pay for it and secure its future at the gallery, to be enjoyed by the people of west London, and to kickstart the beginnings of an exciting contemporary collection at Pitzhanger.
This work has the potential to become a permanent landmark in Ealing, free to visit and for all to enjoy.
We are approaching major national funders for the majority of the funds needed – but we now need your help to raise the final £2,500!
Please give generously.
