It has been over a year. A lot has changed. Piter went through so much in that period of time. He is still strong at heart but physically this year has taken a toll on him. Thanks to crowd funding we had opportunity to try different things and learn about this cancer. We have tried chemo, chemoembolisation, immune theraphy and natural treatments. Piter have travelled to different countries in Europe to consult and be treated. We had some bad news, followed by good news and then again some bad news. We have just managed to come out mentally from the last bad news, and we are taking next steps. We have learned that this cancer wont give in easily but so do we. We have learnt that it doesn't like big fights and it wants us to like it more than we would like.

We very much rely on getting financial support as this is not doable otherwise.

I am reaching out to ask for support in paying for Piotr's medical-related costs. As much as this is the most undignified moment to be in this position we don't want to overthink this and just do what is necessary.

Piotr is a 41 year old dad of two boys Igor 10, and Anton 2. Ex basketball player, MTB biker during his dad years to keep his love for sport going. Piotr has been diagnosed with poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma (bowel malignant cancer) with spread to his liver and lymph nodes. doctor are trying to turn the palliative state to curable eventually. At the moment he is under palliative systemic chemo treatment At Christies Hospital in Manchester. As we have already heard "Im so sorry" from colorectal team when we were told it is only palliative option for treatment, we have taken charge for finding treatments that are not available on NHS but can support Piotr’s treatment and raising chances for him to win this battle.

Piotr is currently undergoing immune therapy in Germany. He needs to travel there every two weeks and stay for 5 days for next 3 months and further treatment and longer stay is already planned for as well. The treatment itself is very expensive and its counted in tens of thousands of euros (first bill is for 90,000.00€), however through just giving we are asking for help with travel costs, supplements cost, and whatever he may need to make sure he can access the treatment that is available for him in Germany. There are also other options of treatments in Germany as well as US.

We are preparing for a long and exhausting war and financial support is crucial as this will exhaust us in each aspect of out life.

.............................. UPDATE - Mid Year 2023 .................................

We are finally at the point where we feel a little more confident to write a few words about Piotr's treatment. A little update for everyone.

We are finally in a place where Piotr can benefit from the treatment for which you helped us raise this huge sum. It wasn't easy to get to this place.

The results after the first treatment did not bring the expected effect. In fact, it turned out that the disease progressed. The ground suddenly began to crumble under our feet. We had to draw a new plan in the dark, knowing that we no longer had many options. It was a moment when we decided to cut ourselves off from everything for a while to be able to hear our own voices. Taking the next steps required a lot of courage and mental strength, which we lost bit by bit with each week of the disease. These results literally cut off our breath.

We made contact with more specialists in this field and took advantage of all the possibilities that were offered to us. We knocked on every door to find a way to recover.

The latest results showed a small light at the end of the tunnel, which allowed to breathe new air into the lungs, and it turned out that Piotr can approach the long-awaited treatment in Germany, which we are soo happy for.

Piotr will spend the next 3 months on trips to Germany and naturopathic rehabilitation of his body, hoping that the treatment will work and Piotr will be on the road to recovery. We have a long road ahead of us to recover. On the other hand, we hope that it will be as long as possible, may fate give us time to try everything.

We asked Siepomaga (Polish platform that helped us collect money for the big treatment) to continue the collection, because Piotr's treatment must be continued and we are very afraid of finding ourselves in a place where there will be no funds to continue treatment, which is terribly expensive.

We sincerely believe that we are lucky in disguise. Without the support we got from so many kind souls, there would be no options. In this way, we have a chance to use what the world of medicine has to offer. This way, we will feel we are trying our best. We can't and won't give up until we have tried everything possible.

Hello everyone,

We have originally collected nearly £12,000 until April 2023, which helped Piter to travel every two weeks to Germany for treatments and allowed him to get to other necessary consultations and treatments he had in Europe during that time. We have turned the world upside down to find the way for Piotr.

We are entering new chapter of the treatment, with having liver almost clear we have to change tactics and approach. Still awaiting results and drawing the next plan.

This September we started new collection but on the same account as before. Current balance is around £3000 out of £15000. The 15K its a safe number put in place to allow us to not get in a situation where treatment is available and we can't cover logistics of it. We are trying to plan for next 6-12 months.

This collection is helping us not to panic and to not lose our senses in this dramatic health situation. We are fighting hard. We have gone through this year with your support. We would most definitely not be able to do it without that support. It honestly means the world to us.

We see all of you trying to help. We asking ourselves what have we done to have so much help from so many ppl. We get emotional every time we see your tears, your messages, your donations, we feel your energy that you send us. All of this is unreal. We are just trying not to break into pieces so we have mostly kept ourselves just to us. Now a little blow is enough to knock us down on our faces.
