I am closing this fundraising page (for now). My final update ( and the videos at : https://youtu.be/Gi7iU42plps, shows how your funds were spent.

Total Raised: £6,854, minus Just Giving Fees: £198.77 (2.9%) + £24.50 (25p/donation) = £223.27, leaving £6,630.73. My Total Bill after all charges is £6,679.28. So thank you, thank you, thank you for allowing me to spend 15 days funding, working in and sharing the experience of Ukrainian Refugee Camps in Slovakia from 09/03/22 to 24/03/22.

05/11/22 - I spent all last week trying to find a van to drive aid to the Poland/Ukraine border. Despite the wealth in Surrey, all I heard was: “…we’d love to help, but…”.

I got so disillusioned, yesterday I bought this 7-seater at my own expense.

My plan is to fill it with aid, my tent and my cooking equipment, drive it all out there, and then spend my birthday (Friday 11th) and a few days either side, serving hot dogs (which I’ll buy en route) and taxiing Ukrainian refugees to their Polish hosts or stations etc.

I’ve estimated travel costs (ferry, fuel, tolls etc.), to be ~£500 each way. If you’d like to help with that, I’d love donations of £50 or more (I simply don’t know anyone who can’t afford fifty quid, including you).

The rest, I’ve either already funded (over £2.5K so far), or will fund myself. I‘ll sleep in my tent or in the van.

I’m getting the van serviced Monday 7th, and will leave ASAP afterwards.
